History
InCharge Energy was founded by electric vehicle infrastructure pioneers Cameron Funk and Terry O’Day, two industry veterans who recognized early that commercial fleet electrification would fundamentally transform transportation. They saw not only the environmental benefits of this transition, but also the significant economic opportunity for organizations seeking to reduce operating costs while modernizing their operations. Together, they assembled a team of experts with deep experience in engineering, energy infrastructure, government, and transportation to build a company focused on accelerating the adoption of commercial electrification.
Today, InCharge Energy has evolved into a leading provider of integrated energy infrastructure solutions. While our foundation was built on designing, deploying, financing, and maintaining commercial EV charging infrastructure, our capabilities have expanded to meet the broader needs of customers navigating an increasingly complex energy landscape.
InCharge delivers comprehensive solutions spanning electrical infrastructure, EV charging, lighting modernization, microgrids, solar energy systems, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) with construction services, hardware, support & maintenance offerings, and asset management software.

Founder, Chief Training & Development Officer
Cameron Funk
Cameron brings more than 32 years of experience in energy efficiency, EV charging infrastructure development, and EV solutions for automotive OEMs across the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Europe. As Founder and Chief Training & Development Officer of InCharge Energy, he continues to help shape the company’s technical expertise and customer-focused service capabilities.
Prior to founding InCharge Energy, Cameron served as CEO of innogy eMobility US, a division of the German energy company Innogy SE, where he helped lead the acquisition of a leading U.S. DC fast charging hardware company and a customer-facing software platform with more than 700,000 users.
Earlier in his career, Cameron founded an EV and electrical services company that was acquired by The LINC Group and later by ABM. At ABM, he established and led the company’s EV charging business, helping scale charging infrastructure services across North America.
Chief Executive Officer
Rich Mohr
Rich is the Chief Executive Officer of InCharge Energy, where he is leading the company’s evolution into a premier provider of integrated energy infrastructure solutions. Under his leadership, the company has expanded beyond EV charging to deliver electrical infrastructure, battery energy storage, microgrids, solar, lighting, field services, and intelligent infrastructure operations through the proprietary InControl™ platform.
Rich brings more than 28 years of leadership experience spanning commercial transportation, fleet management, electrification, energy infrastructure, software, and emerging technologies. Prior to joining InCharge Energy, he served as Senior Vice President of North America at ChargePoint, where he helped commercial fleet and enterprise customers accelerate their electrification strategies.
Before ChargePoint, Rich spent 25 years at Ryder System, Inc., serving in executive leadership positions including Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of New Products. During his tenure, he co-led the launch of COOP by Ryder®, the transportation industry’s first commercial asset-sharing platform, while overseeing product strategy for fleet management, telematics, connected vehicle technologies, and advanced transportation solutions.
Founder, Chief Operating Officer
Terry O’Day
Terry brings more than three decades of leadership experience in transportation electrification, energy infrastructure, and public policy. As Founder and Chief Operating Officer of InCharge Energy, he helps lead the company’s operational strategy and growth across North America.
Prior to founding InCharge Energy, Terry led North American strategy for innogy eMobility US, a division of the German energy company Innogy SE, where he helped lead the acquisition of a leading U.S. DC fast charging hardware company and a customer-facing software platform with more than 700,000 users.
Earlier, Terry was a member of the founding team at EVgo, where he led market development across the western United States. He helped grow the company from its first public fast charging installation in 2011 to more than 1,000 chargers nationwide, overseeing more than $140 million in investment and leading partnerships with major automakers, energy companies, and state governments, including a $122.5 million agreement with the California Public Utilities Commission.
Chief Revenue Officer
Dennis Carter
Dennis brings more than 29 years of experience driving growth, innovation, and EV charging infrastructure deployment across North America. As Chief Revenue Officer, he leads InCharge Energy’s revenue strategy, helping customers accelerate transportation electrification through integrated energy infrastructure solutions.
Prior to joining InCharge Energy, Dennis held leadership positions with LG Electronics, ChargePoint, EV Connect, and E-Z-GO, a Textron company. His experience spans OEM partnerships, channel development, fleet electrification, and large-scale EV charging infrastructure deployments throughout the United States and Canada.
Chief Technology Officer
Nikolas Runge
Nikolas serves as Chief Technology Officer at InCharge Energy, where he leads the company’s engineering and product strategy, driving the development of next-generation charging, energy storage, and intelligent energy management solutions.
Before being named CTO in 2024, Nikolas successfully scaled InCharge Energy’s Engineering and Product teams to support the deployment of more than 4,300 EV chargers in 2023. He also led the development and launch of several innovative fleet charging technologies, including three V2X chargers unveiled at ACT Expo 2023, as well as a new portfolio of high-power chargers and battery energy storage solutions introduced in 2024.
Raised in a trucking family, Nikolas began his career driving commercial trucks and operating a fleet of semis in northwestern Germany. He brings more than 12 years of experience in electric mobility, including leadership roles with P3, innogy eMobility, and BTC Power.
Chief Financial Officer
Adrian Foltz
Adrian brings more than 20 years of finance and operational leadership experience across private equity-backed and public companies. As Chief Financial Officer of InCharge Energy, he oversees the company’s financial strategy and supports its continued growth and operational excellence.
Prior to joining InCharge Energy, Adrian served as Chief Financial Officer of Future Energy Solutions and held senior finance leadership positions where he led ERP implementations, revenue recognition transitions, post-merger integrations, and finance transformation initiatives. His experience includes guiding organizations through periods of rapid growth while strengthening financial controls, improving financial reporting, and maintaining compliance and audit readiness.
Founder, Executive VP of Growth
Van Wilkins
Van brings more than 35 years of experience in construction, fleet fueling, facilities management, data center reliability, EV charging infrastructure development, and EV solutions for automotive OEMs across the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Europe. As Founder and Executive Vice President of Growth, he leads strategic expansion initiatives and has overseen the growth of InCharge Energy’s professional services organization across North America.
A licensed electrician and contractor in 11 states, Van has extensive experience building and scaling technical service organizations. Prior to founding InCharge Energy, he served as Director of Business Development for ABM’s National Accounts team, where he held P&L responsibility while helping deploy EV charging infrastructure for many early adopters. Earlier in his career, he owned and operated several TEGG electrical maintenance and testing service franchises in Arizona and Virginia.
Head of Field Operations
Mike Gallagher
Mike brings more than 25 years of operations, procurement, and supply chain leadership experience driving business transformation, operational excellence, and strategic growth. As Head of Field Operations at InCharge Energy, he leads field service operations, leveraging deep expertise in fleet management, logistics, service delivery, and organizational leadership.
Prior to joining InCharge Energy, Mike held leadership positions at A.P. Moller–Maersk, where he led procurement transformation initiatives and helped advance the electrification of inland drayage fleets, contributing to the development of North America’s largest battery-electric vehicle charging network. During his 19-year tenure at Ryder System, he drove significant revenue and profit growth within the company’s largest business unit while achieving industry-leading customer satisfaction results.
