About InCharge Energy

Mission

Our mission is to help organizations navigate the evolving energy landscape by delivering integrated infrastructure, software, and services that improve reliability, optimize performance, and support a sustainable future.

History

InCharge Energy was founded by electric vehicle infrastructure pioneers Cameron Funk and Terry O’Day, two industry veterans who recognized early that commercial fleet electrification would fundamentally transform transportation. They saw not only the environmental benefits of this transition, but also the significant economic opportunity for organizations seeking to reduce operating costs while modernizing their operations. Together, they assembled a team of experts with deep experience in engineering, energy infrastructure, government, and transportation to build a company focused on accelerating the adoption of commercial electrification.

Today, InCharge Energy has evolved into a leading provider of integrated energy infrastructure solutions. While our foundation was built on designing, deploying, financing, and maintaining commercial EV charging infrastructure, our capabilities have expanded to meet the broader needs of customers navigating an increasingly complex energy landscape.

Organizations today require far more than charging infrastructure—they need resilient, intelligent, and connected energy ecosystems. InCharge delivers comprehensive solutions spanning electrical infrastructure, EV charging, lighting modernization, microgrids, solar energy systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), distributed energy resources, and comprehensive operations and maintenance services.

As electrical infrastructure becomes increasingly distributed and mission critical, managing these complex assets has become just as important as deploying them. To address this challenge, InCharge developed InControl™, one of the industry’s first unified infrastructure operations platforms purpose-built to manage complex electrical assets throughout their entire lifecycle. InControl provides customers with the ability to monitor, manage, maintain, and optimize diverse energy infrastructure—including EV chargers, electrical distribution equipment, lighting systems, battery storage, solar assets, transformers, switchgear, and other critical electrical systems. By integrating real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, asset intelligence, warranty management, and field service orchestration, InControl helps maximize uptime, improve operational efficiency, and reduce total cost of ownership.

By combining deep expertise in electrical infrastructure, electrification, and intelligent asset management, InCharge enables organizations to improve energy reliability, reduce operating costs, strengthen operational resilience, and achieve long-term sustainability objectives. As the energy transition accelerates, InCharge remains committed to delivering the technology, software, services, and field expertise that empower customers to build, operate, and optimize the next generation of resilient energy infrastructure.
