SANTA MONICA, CALIF — In-Charge Energy, an eMobility company offering turnkey commercial EV infrastructure solutions, has announced the appointment of Obrie Hostetter as its new Vice President of Programs. In this newly created role, Hostetter will oversee program development, project management and client services for the growing book of business at In-Charge.
“We are thrilled to have Obrie on the In-Charge team at this critical time,” said Terry O’Day, COO and co-founder of In-Charge Energy. “With her hiring, we are well-positioned to be the industry leaders in fleet electrification. Because she has such great experience developing charging systems and programs for fleets, we know she will be a great fit for us as we continue to grow.”
Immediately, Hostetter will manage the Ryder account, one of In-Charge Energy’s largest clients. Hostetter will help direct Ryder’s electrification plans, which includes Ryder’s own customers under its fleet management services. With more than 200,000 vehicles in its fleet, Ryder is one of the largest global logistics and transportation companies working toward the overall reduction of its emissions and environmental impacts.
“I am excited for this opportunity, since fleet electrification will have unbelievably positive environmental and social impacts,” Hostetter said. “I have long found this work to be incredibly rewarding and energizing, so working with a leading company like In-Charge on huge projects like this was a no-brainer.”
With over a decade of industry experience, Hostetter has a deep understanding of the electric vehicle and power generation industries. While working for various eMobility start-ups, she has developed highly sought-after areas of expertise, including: the planning and build out of mass-scale EV infrastructure networks, EV software and interoperability market development, microgrid go-to-market planning, and government affairs.
Prior to joining In-Charge, she held positions in private and public organizations including: NRG Energy, Faraday Future, Hubject and CPUC. Hostetter holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School and was an NRG Presidential Fellow.
